I need a quickie, or am I lazy? the results...

Just a quick blog thing this week, as most know its been a busy time recently, almost time to relax a bit
Old Gore 9/7/15
Well a slightly poor turn out, not sure if it was the weather or just people away. Will just won again this week, with a good ride by Ant P.

Thanks this week go to Me timing with Jon Airey as my apprentice and pushing off, with Taff at the turn with Paul Fallon.
Rider of the night is Jenifer, a good gutsy ride on a tough night.

The Jack Morgan 10 at Walford

The pot hunters dream, forgot to say there's a trophy up for grabs with this event. Don't panic, its safe to say there was only going to be one winner. We had a splendid turn out of 20 riders and a couple of extra marshals which allowed someone else who'd put their name down to ride. Not quite so lucky was Gary who had the wrong bike after volunteering to help. That's why we keep pushing the volunteering thing so the  persons who volunteer then end up feeling a spare part, not that we wasted his efforts.
Several found it hard going, but that said there were PB's done as well so it can't have been that bad.

Feeling a little more at home on his bike was our winner Will, hence winning the trophy for another 12 months. Cracking rides this week from Messrs Airey & Raddenbury (thank you Papa Raddenbury for your help at the open) both doing the bizzzzz.

Apologies for the shortness, missing some stories etc, but time is tight

Thanks this week  to Sam Phillips, Dave Hall, and Gary timing (Dave said he couldn't  believe it was that easy, thanks Sam for looking over his shoulder), I think Gary pushed off as well from memory. with Tim & The Destroyer on security in the background. Bill once again did the Turn with help from Cookie and Miss Ellie Cookie. John & Audrey did the Courtfield junction.
Rider of the night this week was Sarah, the kick up the bum at the start fired her up with the help of some clip on tri bars to set a new PB and boy, didn't we all know about it afterwards. Well done Sarah, I'm sure there's even more to come.

Walford 2/7/15 Wills first outing

Looking at the times and what several said, it was a hard night, no real wind but a little stiff on the outward leg. Even winning the event, Will was unhappy with his first TT of the 2015 season, I imagine we’d all be complaining with a 23:24 first time out…
PB Jon
Humming bird legs Fallon earnt himself a quality second spot, the legs looking like they were just tying up over the line. Me, still struggling, just wait till I’m firing on all cylinders. Looking behind’s not an option with Radders finding some form just getting faster and faster. I reckon Max is due to find some extra speed very soon, soon to be pushing those just in front of him at present.
Well it’s finally happened, James Hall has waited a while, but the time has finally shown what I knew he could do, fantastic, hopefully you can hang onto that speed for the rest of the season. I’m pretty sure it’s a PB.
Was the broken collar for Tim Newland a blessing in disguise (bet his wife won’t say that)? He knew he had form at the start of the season, but it did give him some extra Turbo time, and that’s showing.

A tie,Adam & Huw both are improving, both I’m sure are happy with their times. Am sure Huw’s is a PB.
Broken collar was an excuss for more time on the bike
PB Harrington - what did I say before the start? Said with all those quality miles you’d fly, methinks you’ll take another 30 seconds off Old Gore this week. If you slow down, Gary GasTec will blow you away, losing out by a mere 2 seconds.
Another PB (and everyone thought it was a hard night?) Jon Airey in his understated sort of way was over the moon with another improvement, this week scalping Tom the Power. We now know James’s problem, a bad back has been affecting performance. Back to basics, start spinning like you used to instead of trying to honk bigger gears, till you’re feeling better.
Another PB, this time it was Rachel, that sub 30 is just around the corner, a bit less wind should see you should fly. The silver Fox AKA Dennis is showing no signs of slowing down, and now must be Angie’s next target, did I mention her PB? Gerald may have been last, but he was once again happy with his time.
Rachels next target.....James
Thanks this week to Dawn & Julie pushing off, Rachel Fallon (overseen by Julie) timing, not forgetting Bill dealing with the confused old people at the turn.
Next week is Old Gore, should be a good evening.

This weekend is the opens. We have had a good few volunteers, but more = merrier.
Please contact Will or me if you can help, it’s your club
Rider of the night this week is for the second time this year James Hall, a sterling performance up one more level...
