Harwoods return |
Once again we’re at Old Gore, this week was a head wind out
tail wind home. On his return to English shores after 8 weeks training, Dave
Harwood just got the better of Steve
Millard, who was really planning where
to take his wife for her 21st birthday.
Max has moved up to the plate having taken
big strides into my early season advantage over him. The Destroyers returning
to form, only weeks before he’s looking for the first win of the season.
First road bike home was Nick P again probably
relishing the thought of the road bike 10 event. Climb On’s 2 protagonists
appear to be a match for each other, Tom thinking afterwards how much he loved
this course. Both had good PB’s.
Neil looks every week to get stronger, the
final climb just taking its toll with that awful feeling of needing to empty
the stomach contents over the line. James may have a new play partner in Wobbly
Bob, tune in next week to see what happens.
Rich was well chuffed to duck under
evens, whereas Nigel was sooo close this week. Gary’s deep section wheels
increased his heart rate down the hill after the start, the wind being quite
nasty just there. Paul M brought up the
rear, but was more than happy being his fastest 10 of the year to date
Thanks this week go to Taff pushing you all in the right
direction, Bill at the turn and Julie timing
Rider of the night this week was a little more difficult to
choose as a few had put in a good efforts, in the end – it had to be Harwood,
fantastic first effort. Will assume there will be more to come…
Next Week’s event is a Ledbury & Back whooo hooo. Meet
at Old Gore Cross Roads. We need at least 2 marshal = 2 roundabouts…
